چکیده

This paper investigates the Parallel Interference Cancellation technique in Direct Sequence Optical Code Division Multiple Access (DS-OCDMA) system. In the proposed system, the estimated interference is removed from the received signal. We have developped a new approach to obtain the analytical expression of error probability in chip synchronous case, for Optical Orthogonal Codes (OOC). We have shown that under specific conditions between codes parameters and users’number, the interference can be completely neutralized. Simulation results have validated the theoretical analysis. It is shown that the proposed receiver is effective in reducing significantly the effects of Multiple Access Interference (MAI) compared to other interference cancellation systems.

Performance of Parallel Interference Cancellation Technique in Multistage Multiuser Detection for DS-CDMA System

The 3 generation mobile communication system will base on Code Division Multiple Access (CDMA) system, because CDMA system can provide more capacity than TDMA and FDMA systems. But signal will suffer from the interference called Multiple Access Interference (MAI).This problem can be reduced by using multi-user detection technique. This paper examines the Performance of Parallel Interference Can...

Interference Mitigation Using Successive Interference Cancellation in Optical CDMA Systems

Performance of optical code division multiple access (O-CDMA) system is influenced by multiple access interference (MAI) resulted from the overlapping between the users. To overcome this problem, successive interference cancellation (SIC) scheme is applied to O-CDMA systems. In this paper we apply successive interference cancellation technique to a spectral amplitude coding (SAC) system that us...

Successive Interference Cancellation for Optical CDMA Systems: Fundamental Principles

In this paper successive interference cancellation (SIC) based on optical code division multiple access (O-CDMA) systems has been investigated. SIC scheme refers to a family of low complexity multi-user detection (MUD) methods for direct sequence CDMA systems. Performance of optical CDMA system is influenced by multiple access interference (MAI) resulted from the overlapping between the users. ...

Partial Parallel Interference Cancellation Techniques with Adaptive RAKE Combining for DS-CDMA Ultra-Wideband Wireless Communications

Two kinds of RAKE receiver combining schemes are investigated for a partial parallel interference cancellation (PPIC) technique, including maximal ratio combining (MRC) and minimum mean-squared error (MMSE) combining, in directsequence code-division multiple access (DS-CDMA) ultrawideband (UWB) systems. We use the normalized least meansquared algorithm to approach the MMSE solution for the RAKE...

Bit Error Performance for Asynchronous Ds Cdma Systems Over Multipath Rayleigh Fading Channels (RESEARCH NOTE)

In recent years, there has been considerable interest in the use of CDMA in mobile communications. Bit error rate is one of the most important parameters in the evaluation of CDMA systems. In this paper, we develop a technique to find an accurate approximation to the probability of bit error for asynchronous direct–sequence code division multiple–access (DS/CDMA) systems by modeling the multipl...
